Finally, return to your weaker scenarios. Junctions, country roads, parked vehicles, vulnerable road users and changing traffic conditions all require slightly different observation habits. On rural roads, bends, hidden entrances, farm vehicles and changes in road width can develop quickly. In built-up areas, parked cars and buses can obscure people crossing. The scene may look calm, but your view can change in seconds.
A low score is useful if you can explain it. Do not simply replay a clip until you remember where the hazard appears. Instead, identify the observation cue you missed. Was it a wheel turning, a pedestrian's body position, a vehicle's brake lights or a narrowing gap?
Equally, do not assume a high score means you can stop practising. Clips vary, and the test day format requires sustained focus. Keep practising until you can score reliably across different road types and conditions.
